Rachel, Kirk, and my niece inside

This is my youngest brother, Kirk and his wife Rachel.  They met in high school, and after a few years of dating and a few years living apart while he was serving a mission for our church, they ended up happily together.  We love Rachel for what she brings out in Kirk.  I'm so excited that they are expecting their first baby, I know they will be awesome parents!   To see their wedding images, click here. 

They just moved to Texas from going to school at BYU, and I'm so excited to have 75% of my family back in Texas!  He is starting at Baylor Medical School this summer.

I find myself being a bit uninspired creatively when I photography my family.  They were only in town for 24 hours, and we just walked to the field near my home just before the sun went down.  It was free for them, they can't complain, right?

More Bluebonnets~Maternity Session

Wow, what a weekend!  Just plan on the next few posts including bluebonnets.  For those of you that don't live around here, Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower and they bloom each spring near the end of March/beginning of April.  The past few years they haven't been very good due to drought, but this year they have been spectacular!  You gotta scope out spots, and I found a great field. 

This couple was so adorable and very excited about their upcoming arrival.  I'm so excited for them on the journey of parenthood. 

Sarah~Expecting her first baby

Mine and Sarah's husbands work side by side all day long. They know each other well, and it was fun to get to know Sarah better during her maternity session. A little baby boy is headed their way, and I'm so excited for them! I think Sarah has gorgeous skin, and such a great smile. And I can add that I never quite looked this good pregnant. I think I gained double the weight she has with each of mine:)

I just love the anticipation of baby.  So much to look forward to!

Kim~35 weeks along

It's my nephew inside that cute little tummy...and though she looks like a youngin' herself, she's 23, and married to my brother. Love her!

Jessica~Round Rock Maternity Portraits

Jessica is another photographer who did me a big favor a year ago. When she mentioned trying to capture her own maternity portraits, I told her she had to make the drive to me and we could have some fun documenting this beautiful time in her life. It was a lot of fun! I thought she looked a bit like Shania Twain here....
She brought these gold wraps, and I thought they accentuated her tummy nicely.
